Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Health Informatics Estimated Costs, Tuition and Fees

UMMC's Student Financial Aid maintains estimated costs of attendance and tuition.

As stated in the UMMC Bulletin, the Medical Center reserves the right to increase or modify tuition and fees without prior notice subject to the approval of the Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning.

The Health Informatics Post Baccalaureate Certificate student will pay graduate level tuition per credit hour.  Students in online programs are not charged non-resident fees.  

In addition to tuition and health insurance, students should be aware of the following additional expenses:

First year

  • Educational supplies
    • Laptop computer with Microsoft Office software - $1,200
    • External webcam - $50
    • EHR Go one-year subscription - $120
    • Textbooks - $240
  • Other
    • Online fees ($150 per semester) - $450
Total estimated additional first-year costs - $2,060

Computer/electronic devices

All Health Informatics and Information Management degrees are online programs. Students are required to have a computer to access online courses. To ensure that you have a computer that meets minimum standards to function with UMMC platforms, it must at least function at the following levels:

  • Windows 10 or newer OR Macintosh: OS X Catalina (10.15) or newer 
  • Must be patched by operating system company regularly
  • Modern browser such as the latest Chrome or Internet Explorer/Edge
  • Must run a modern and updated anti-virus solution.
