Doctor of Health Administration Admission Requirements

These requirements are effective for students seeking entry in Summer 2027 or later.

A limited number of applicants will be admitted to the Doctor of Health Administration program with students selected on a competitive basis. Qualification does not ensure admission.

In addition to the admission standards of the institution and the SHRP general admission requirements, candidates seeking admission to the Doctor of Health Administration degree program must meet the following requirements:

  1. Awarded a master’s degree or professional doctorate from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning with a GPA of at least 3.00 on a 4.00 scale in any field
  2. Demonstrate at least three (3) years of experience in a health or health care related field
  3. Current curriculum vitae or resume
  4. Essay documenting previous heath care experience

All application documents and application fees must be received by the Office of Enrollment Management by February 1 for summer admission. All applicants pay a non-refundable application fee of $25.

There may be an option for early admission to the program. Click here to learn more.

Final transcripts indicating graduate degree completion should be included in these documents.

Any questions related to a submitted application or receipt of support documentation should be directed to the program admissions counselor:
