UMMC Discovery Day

UMMC Discovery Day is a single-site, rotation-based event showcasing several academic schools, programs, centers and departments on the Jackson campus of UMMC. It's designed to expose high school students (grades 10-12) and undergraduate students to health care and research careers, as well as the educational programs that lead to these careers.

SON Family Day

Hal's St. Paddy's Parade City Sweep

Saturday, March 28 at 10:00 a.m

Hal's St. Paddy's Parade & Festival is happening on Saturday, March 28. Our City Sweep volunteers do a fantastic job leading the parade through the streets of downtown Jackson, handing out beads and collecting donations for Children's of Mississippi. We kick off Hal's St. Paddy's Parade by meeting downtown at 10 a.m. and marching at 11 a.m.

The School of Nursing (SON) will host the Nursing PhD 25th Reunion from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, April 2. In 2001, the Nursing PhD program had its first graduate. The reunion will honor the 25th year of that milestone and the program’s other achievements.
