New faculty join UMMC academic ranks
Medical Center leadership is proud to announce the following additions to its faculty and leadership staff.
Dr. Jacqueline Fraiser
The University of Mississippi Medical Center welcomes new School of Nursing instructor Dr. Jacqueline Fraiser to its Oxford campus.
Fraiser is no stranger to the Medical Center, having previously served as an assistant professor of nursing instruction in the School of Nursing in 2023.
Fraiser earned her associate degree in nursing from Northeast Mississippi Community College in 1995. She later received her Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of North Alabama in 2002. In 2006, she earned her Master of Science in nursing with a concentration as a family nurse practitioner from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. In 2023, Fraiser received her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Samford University.
Fraiser brings 11 years of professional clinical experience in maternal-newborn care, pediatric care, medical-surgical care and family practice. She also has nearly two decades of experience in urgent care and family practice settings.
In addition to her clinical and academic experience, Fraiser is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, the Tri-State Nurse Practitioner Network and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Dr. Tiffany Griffin
Dr. Tiffany Griffin, assistant professor at the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Nursing, is transitioning into a grant-funded position where she will continue contributing to the institution’s academic, clinical and research mission.
A veteran of the Mississippi Army National Guard, Griffin earned her Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Tougaloo College in 2002, followed by an associate degree in nursing from Holmes Community College in 2007. She later completed her Bachelor of Science in nursing at UMMC in 2010.
Committed to lifelong learning and professional excellence, Griffin continued her graduate education at UMMC, earning a Master of Science in nursing in 2015 and a Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2022.
Griffin brings nearly a decade of experience in psychiatric-mental health nursing, most recently serving as a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with Gateway Behavioral Health Services. Her clinical expertise and dedication to patient-centered care have strengthened behavioral health services within the community.
Throughout her career, Griffin has been recognized with several excellence awards from the School of Nursing. She is also an active member of several organizations including Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, the American Psychiatric Nurses Association, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated and the Junior League of Jackson.

Dr. Antoine V. Keller
Dr. Antoine V. Keller has joined University of Mississippi Medical Center as a professor in the Department of Surgery – Cardiac in the School of Medicine. A native of New Orleans, Keller brings an extensive background in cardiovascular, thoracic and endovascular surgery.
Keller earned his bachelor’s degree in psychobiology from University of California, Los Angeles and received his Doctor of Medicine from Duke University.
He completed eight years of postgraduate training in general surgery at Tulane University School of Medicine, where he completed his residency, before pursuing a fellowship at Carolinas Medical Center.
Keller is board certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery and has more than 19 years of experience as a cardiovascular, thoracic and endovascular surgeon. Most recently, he served as attending cardiovascular, thoracic and endovascular surgeon at Ochsner Lafayette General Hospital.
He also worked in Jackson previously, from 2013 to 2019, as chief of surgery at St. Dominic's Cardiovascular Associates.
Throughout his career, Keller has received several honors and awards, including the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award, the nation’s highest civilian honor for volunteerism and national impact. He received the award in recognition of his lifelong commitment to health equity, innovation and community service through HeartSense, his nonprofit organization that provides free AI-enabled heart screenings for underserved communities in Louisiana and beyond to help detect heart disease earlier.
In his role at UMMC, Keller will provide real-world, hands-on experience in the cardiac surgery division for medical students, residents and fellows.
