Dr. Keith Dillon
Dr. Keith Dillon, recently a senior staff engineer at Qualcomm Research Center in San Diego, California, has joined the Medical Center faculty as an associate professor in the Department of Data Science, John D. Bower School of Population Health.
Dillon, who earned his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering at Rice University in Houston, Texas, received his PhD in Electrical Engineering in 2014 from the University of California San Diego.
His 10-plus years of industry experience include positions as a multi-disciplined engineer, senior engineer, research scientist and consultant at such institutions as Hughes Aircraft/Raytheon Systems in El Segundo, California; D2 Technologies/Virata Corp. in Santa Barbara, California; Neural Computing Systems in Irvine, California; and, in San Diego, Ophthonix Inc. and IOS Technologies Inc.
He also held positions as a postdoctoral research scientist at Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons, in New York, New York; postdoctoral fellow at Tulane University, Department of Biomedical Engineering and Department of Biostatistics, in New Orleans; and assistant professor of Data Science at the University of New Haven in West Haven, Connecticut, where he also served as a faculty adviser.
Dillon, the co-founder and president of Formulens LLC, is the co-holder of three patents. He is the co-author of more than two dozen research publications and has served as a reviewer for several professional journals.

Dr. Lauren Peak
Dr. Lauren Peak, recently a post-doctoral fellow at the Moore Autism Center in Moore, Oklahoma, has joined the Medical Center faculty as an assistant professor in the Child Development Clinic.
Peak earned a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology at William Carey University in Hattiesburg and a Master of Arts in School Psychology at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg before completing a pre-doctoral internship at the Nebraska Internship Consortium in Professional Psychology in Lincoln. She then earned her Doctorate of Philosophy in School Psychology at USM.
For two years, she worked as a school consultant, Registered Behavior Technician and assessment support team member at Will’s Way Pediatric Behavioral Psychology in Hattiesburg. She also gained clinical and/or research experience at the USM Center for Behavioral Health, Pediatric Behavioral Health Clinic in Hattiesburg, Spectrum Academy at New Summit School in Jackson, Baptist Children’s Village-Mississippi and Ellisville State School in Ellisville, among other institutions.
She has participated in a number of scientific presentations and has research publications and projects to her credit. Peak, who has taken on several leadership roles, is a member of the American Psychological Association, Association for Behavior Analysis International and National Association of School Psychologists.

Dr. Ginger L. Pole
Dr. Ginger L. Pole, recently a staff neonatologist at Candler Hospital in Savannah, Georgia, has joined the Medical Center faculty as medical director, pediatrics-neonatology, in the School of Medicine.
Pole earned the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in 2001 at Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Davie, Florida, before completing her pediatric residency at Keesler Air Force Base Medical Center in Biloxi and a neonatology fellowship at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Her professional experience includes roles at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Okinawa, Japan; Wilford Hall Medical Center, Lackland Air Force Base, Texas; San Antonio Military Medical Center, Texas; Medical Center Hospital, Odessa, Texas; and North Mississippi Medical Center, Tupelo. For more than 10 years, she served as an active duty Medical Corps officer in the U.S. Air Force, achieving the rank of major.
Pole has extensive administrative and teaching experience. She has served as an assistant professor of pediatrics at the F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine, Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences; and as a preceptor at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta and at the School of Nursing, University of Alabama at Birmingham.
She has also served as a lecturer for a NICU nursery pediatric resident lecture series, as a newborn care course instructor, and as a member of the Pacific Rim Military Neonatal Transport Outreach Program.
Pole, who has earned a number of academic honors, is also the co-author of several research publications and has participated in a number of scientific presentations and invited lectures.
