Several interesting events are scheduled for the upcoming weeks at the Medical Center.

Monday, June 24

Biology faculty to discuss embryonic bisphenol exposure

Dr. Yann Gibert, UMMC associate professor of cell and molecular biology, will give the UMMC Department of Cell and Molecular Biology presentation, "Embryonic Exposure to Bisphenol A and Bisphenol S and Lipid Metabolism," at 3 p.m. on Monday, June 24, in classroom 3A.

Tuesday, June 25

Psychiatry faculty to identify Post-Genomic Era genetic variations

Dr. Eric J. Vallender, UMMC associate professor of psychiatry and human behavior, will give the UMMC Bioinformatics Collaborative Seminar, “Identifying Genetic Variation in the Post-Genomic Era: From Sample Collection to Information Return,” at noon on Tuesday, June 25, in classroom R153(lower amphitheatre).

Wednesday, June 26

Physiology faculty to assess Endothelin-1, cardiometabolic risk

Dr. Joshua Speed, UMMC assistant professor of physiology and biophysics, will give the UMMC Department of Physiology and Biophysics presentation, "Endothelin-1 and Cardiometabolic Syndrome Risk," from noon-1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, in room CW308 of the Classroom Wing.

Friday, June 28

Ceremony to honor UMMC retirees with 25 years of service

​The Medical Center will host a ceremony to honor its retiring faculty and staff who have 25 or more consecutive years of service to the institution at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 28, in the student union second-floor conference center. A reception will follow the ceremony.

Faith Seeking Understanding group to discuss pluralism

​​Russell Roberts, a first-year radiation oncology resident, will give the UMMC Faith Seeking Understanding Interest Group presentation, "Can All Religions Be True?" from noon-1 p.m. on Friday, June 28, in room CW308 of the Classroom Wing.
