A number of interesting events is scheduled for the upcoming week at the Medical Center.

NEI chief to discuss basal ganglia, decision-making

Dr. Okihide Hikosaka, Laboratory of Sensorimotor Research senior research chief at the National Eye Institute, will present "Role of Basal Ganglia in Automatic Decision-making" from noon-1 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 12, in classroom 6A (North Wing classroom 617).

All Medical Center faculty, staff and students are invited. The presentation is part of the Neurobiology and Anatomical Sciences Seminar Series.

Inclusive service to honor King holiday

The Department of Pastoral Services will host a service in celebration of diversity and inclusion as an observance of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday holiday at noon on Wednesday, Jan. 13, in the Norman C. Nelson Student Union.

Dr. Robert Smith will serve as guest speaker, and the Jackson State University's Maddrama, under the direction of Dr. Mark Henderson, will give a performance.

All Medical Center faculty, staff and students are invited. Light refreshments will be available following the service.
