Biography: Kimberly Bibb, MD, Associate Professor, is board-certified in Family Medicine and Obesity Medicine. A native of Jackson, MS, she graduated from Tougaloo College and received her medical degree from UMMC. She completed family medicine residency at the UAB Huntsville Family Medicine Residency Program in Huntsville, AL. Dr. Bibb provides primary care treatment to children and adults, has extensive expertise in the treatment of obesity, and has played an integral role in the establishment of the UMMC Weight Management Clinic. She has a strong passion for educating patients on the importance of developing healthy lifestyles and preventing chronic diseases. In her spare time, Dr. Bibb enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
My Approach to Healthcare
As a family medicine physician and obesity medicine specialist, I take an individualized and holistic approach to treating patients of all ages. Realizing that everyone is different, I aim to meet each patient where they are in their healthcare journey, provide appropriate education and treatment, and help each patient set realistic goals to achieve and maintain healthy lifestyles which ultimately leads to improved overall health and well-being.
