Excellent Teacher - Trainee Instructions
The Office for Student Success provides and manages Excellent Teacher, a course developed for University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) medical residents, fellows and other appropriate trainees. Excellent Teacher is an online, self-paced program that is offered through Canvas, UMMC's learning management system, and it is offered on an annual basis. The course is based on the resident as teacher model supported in the medical literature, and it includes information related to Teaching and Communication, Curriculum Design, Feedback and Evaluation, and Ethics and Professionalism.
Excellent Teacher is available for UMMC residents, fellows, and appropriate trainees as requested. Instructions for requesting access to the Excellent Teacher course can be found here.
