The Office of Academic Development for the University of Mississippi Medical Center serves to promote the fullest capacities of faculty as academic leaders in education, service to the Medical Center mission and in cooperation with the Office of Research, in aspects of the research endeavor. The Office of Academic Development works closely with a medical center standing committee, the UMMC Academic Development Committee (for more information regarding the Committee and its members, visit our Leadership Page), and with the UMMC Faculty Senate (for more information regarding the Faculty Senate and its members, visit the website). The Academic Development Committee was formed in order to establish campus-wide policies in support of faculty professional development activities; to coordinate school participation in campus-wide faculty development programs and to help foster a positive campus climate for UMMC faculty to reach their full potential.
