Gynecology

Gynecology specialists at UMMC Women's Care take a multidisciplinary and sensitive approach to evaluating and treating female health issues, especially of the reproductive system.

Most women are seen by an obstetrician-gynecologist (OB-GYN), a physician specializing in general women's medical care, diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the female reproductive system and care of pregnant women.

General gynecologic care includes wellness exams for children, teens, and women; family planning/contraception; and evaluation and treatment for disorders including abnormal pap smears, basic infertility, hormone imbalances, chronic pelvic pain, cervical dysplasia and vulvar and vaginal disorders.

UMMC Women's Care also offers sophisticated diagnostic imaging procedures, minimally invasive surgical options, and subspecialty care to meet the health needs of our female patients.
