What is a children's radiologist?
Children's radiologists are pediatric physicians who are experts in diagnosing a child's medical condition using highly advanced imaging equipment. Our pediatric radiologists employ state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging to identify potential medical concerns before delivery. Helping inform decisions regarding advanced care that may be necessary after delivery.
If advanced care is needed, pediatric radiologists work in collaboration with a team of expert subspecialists through UMMC’s Center for Maternal and Fetal Care. This multidisciplinary team works together to care for both the mother and child’s unique needs - all under one roof.
