Biography
Dr. Gary L. Hamil, Jr., a Jackson, Mississippi native, is an accomplished educator and healthcare professional with over 30 years of experience in clinical practice, research, and higher education. He holds multiple advanced degrees, including a PhD in Clinical Health Sciences and two master's degrees in nursing and health science. Dr. Hamil has taught at institutions such as Hinds Community College, Mississippi College, Belhaven University, and the University of Mississippi, covering both undergraduate and graduate-level courses. He has mentored countless students and contributed to major professional conferences, currently serving on the board of the Mississippi Academy of Sciences. Now an assistant professor at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, he continues to blend clinical care with a strong commitment to teaching and scholarship.
