Welcome to Physiology News. Our mission is to maintain the highest possible level of productivity and excellence in research, education, and service. In this issue, we highlight a few achievements of selected trainees, staff, and faculty members of the department, who each play a vital role in achieving our mission.

Staff Employee Spotlight

Elizabeth "Lizzy" Flynn is the manager of the Assay and Analytical Core. As the core manager, Lizzy provides support for various enzyme-linked immunoassays (ELISA), molecular and chemical analyses, and radioimmunoassays.

In Memoriam

Albert Pitt "Pete" Shepherd, Jr., PhD, died peacefully at home on March 3, 2023, with his wife and daughter at his side. He was 79 years old.
