Kennedy, chairman emeritus of Cox Enterprises, is helping build a new home for the UMMC Cancer Center and Research Institute by giving to the It’s About Time campaign.

UMMC will observe Patient Safety Week July 13-16 with a soccer-inspired theme, “Safety is Our Goal.” Employees are invited to celebrate patient safety accomplishments from across the Medical Center, follow unit progress on the championship boards and take part in activities throughout the week.

Medical Center faculty and staff often are recognized regionally, nationally and internationally for their academic or medical achievements. These accolades place UMMC among health science centers worldwide.

The Medical Center extends its sympathy to the family of a former faculty member in appreciation for his contributions to the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
