Biography: Dr. West is a native of Hattiesburg, MS. He completed undergraduate training at The University of Southern Mississippi, medical school at The University of Mississippi School of Medicine, anesthesiology residency at The University of Alabama at Birmingham. He has maintained continuous board certification. He was in private practice for over 25 years before joining the UMMC Department of Anesthesiology in 2025. He and his wife Dana, have 3 grown children
