Biography: Mary “Katie” Smith is a nurse practitioner in the Division of Plastic Surgery at UMMC. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing as well as Master of Science in Nursing at the University Mississippi. She holds a national certification with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) as an Adult Geriatric Nurse Practitioner. Katie specializes in the care of general plastic surgery patients, and holds an additional certification in Cosmetic Injections (Botox and Fillers). Katie is extensively involved in inpatient wound care and the management of complex wound healing.  She resides in Madison, Mississippi with her husband Drew and their two daughters. She enjoys being outdoors, going to the beach, and spending time with their family.
