Biography: I was raised in New Albany, a small town in northeast Mississippi. I completed a dual degree in biology and chemistry at the University of Southern Mississippi as a Luckyday scholar in 3 years before beginning medical school at UMMC in Jackson. I completed my medical degree in 2015 and began a 3 year pediatric residency that concluded in 2018. As a Mississippi Rural Physician Scholar, I have dedicated the first 4 years out of training to rural and under-served areas of our state - specifically Grenada, MS.
