Biography: Dr. Hazim Babikir is an anesthesiologist with specialized training in anesthesia, intensive care, and advanced airway management. He completed his anesthesia and intensive care training at the Saint Petersburg Medical Academy for Postgraduate Education and finished his advanced airway fellowship training at Montefiore Medical Center. His clinical experience includes management of complex airway cases involving ENT, maxillofacial, and bariatric patients in a tertiary care setting.
Dr. Babikir has a strong interest in anesthesiology education, patient safety, and perioperative airway management. His academic and research interests focus on difficult airway management, awake intubation techniques, surgical airway training, and patient-centered approaches to preoxygenation, including the use of high-flow nasal cannula oxygenation.
