Individuals in the identified programs of study are then eligible to apply, but must meet the following requirements:
Workforce Development Scholarship
Effective 2019, the Workforce Development Scholarship Program has changed, but it remains our intent to foster the professional development of the UMMC workforce within the boundaries of institutional mission priorities and financial resources. A UMMC committee of administrators from throughout all three missions of the institution and led by the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs was established to determine the programs of study eligible for the program.Individuals in the identified programs of study are then eligible to apply, but must meet the following requirements:
- Applicant must be a full-time employee for one year prior to application and have recommendation and approval from immediate supervisor.
- Applicant must be approved by Human Resources and not be on progressive discipline program.
- Applicant must be accepted and enrolled in one of the approved programs of study.
- Recipient must maintain good satisfactory academic standing.
- Recipient must agree to a service commitment of (6) six months for each semester benefit received. If recipient resigns prior to completing the service commitment repayment of the scholarship and interest will be converted to an institutional loan.
