Biography
Dr Athanasios Tsiouris is an Associate Professor and an attending surgeon in the Division of Cardiac Surgery at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He is the surgical director of heart transplant and mechanical circulatory support. He has a special interest in heart, lung transplantation and LVADs. His clinical and research interest include thoracic transplantation and mechanical circulatory support devices. He trained as a cardiothoracic surgeon at Yale University and completed a fellowship in heart and lung transplantation at the Cleveland Clinic. Dr Tsiouris is board certified in Surgery and Cardiothoracic Surgery.
