Biography
Albert Lin, MD, Assistant Professor, is a board-certified Ophthalmologist and a vitreoretinal surgical specialist. Dr. Lin is from Vicksburg, Mississippi and received his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. After finishing his Ophthalmology Residency at UMMC, Dr. Lin completed a two year Vitreoretinal Surgical fellowship at the University of Virginia. Dr. Lin returned to UMMC to begin his practice in 2017 and was recognized in 2019 as the UMMC Ophthalmology Attending of the Year. Dr. Lin has been published in numerous publications, has participated in several multi-site clinical trials, and presented at many professional events. Having grown up in Mississippi, Dr. Lin enjoys being able to serve a statewide population seeking specialty ophthalmic treatment at UMMC. When not involved in teaching, clinical research, or patient care, Dr. Lin enjoys cooking, fishing, reading, learning new hobbies, and spending time with his wife and daughter.
