Biography

Ike Eriator, MD, MPH, MBA; graduated from medical school at the top of the class. He earned an MPH from Boston University and then completed a research fellowship in Neurology at the Boston University Medical Center. His residency training in Anesthesiology was also at the Boston University Medical Center, where he served as chief resident in the final year. His Pain Medicine fellowship training was at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He also has an MBA in Healthcare from the George Washington University. Currently a professor of Anesthesiology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, he directs the Pain Fellowship Program and is also Chair of IRB1. His life goal is to restore joy and improve the quality of life for people by helping to control pain using a holistic, multimodal approach. He subspecializes in using advanced interventional procedures to treat pain. His clinical, research, and teaching interests include pain management, epidemiology, opioids (narcotics), healthcare quality improvement, and research ethics. Dr. Eriator sits on the Ethics Committee of the American Society of Anesthesiologists.
