Biography
Dr. Keli Xu received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Rutgers University and postdoctoral training in Developmental and Stem Cell Biology at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. He joined UMMC in 2011 as Assistant Professor of Neurobiology and Anatomical Sciences with full membership in the Cancer Institute. Currently he is Associate Professor of Cell and Molecular Biology. Dr. Xu’s research interest focuses on the roles of Notch signaling in development and cancer, with over 40 peer-reviewed research articles including first or senior author papers in Neuron, Cancer Cell, Cancer Research, Oncogene, and Development. His research has been funded by National Cancer Institute and Department of Defense. Dr. Xu is an active reviewer for numerous journals and serves as grant reviewer for Breast Cancer Now (United Kingdom), Fund for Scientific Research (Belgium), Italian Ministry for Education, University and Research, and the Research Grant Council of Hong Kong.
