Biography
I went to medical school to become a "DOOD". That word is a clever play and a hint of a transformative process. I was born during the end of the Viet Nam war, and my parents were stricken with the struggle and after math of a war, that required fleeing a home they loved and family they would come to miss throughout the rest of their lives. All for the hope that I and my siblings have a better life. Thanks to them I came to the United States driven to make a difference. I was raised in Kansas and later went to school to become an optometrist. I sought for most of my life to be an educator, and through that I loved learning. As a result, I practiced optometry for 10 years and returned to school after the death of a family member due to a neurologic condition and I aimed to become a neurologist. I completed medical school and trained to become a neurologist and with my passion for both ophthalmology and neurology, I trained in neuro-ophthalmology. Highly specialized in ophthalmology and neurology, I am passionate about the love of the two fields and feel very privileged to be able to provide the best I can for those who need this specialty, which is in high demand.
