Biography

John Spurzem, MD, MSPH, Director of the Adult Program of the Cystic Fibrosis Center, is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Critical Care Medicine. He is a native of California and received his medical degree from the University of California, Irvine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN and his fellowship training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and received a Masters Degree at the University of Utah. He worked as a research fellow at the Pulmonary Branch, NHLBI, NIH, Bethesda, MD. Dr. Spurzem has extensive experience in treating airways diseases including cystic fibrosis and interstitial lung disease. He is active in conducting clinical research in lung diseases. Dr. Spurzem is committed to providing our patients with the highest quality care and access to clinical research trials for difficult to treat diseases.
