Biography

Andrew Smith, MD, a native of Madison, MS, joined the UMMC Department of Neurosurgery in 2022. He received his medical degree and completed his neurosurgical residency here at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. In addition to receiving the Robert Hearin Medical Scholarship, he also received the University of Mississippi Neurosurgical Merit Award in 2015. Through his residency here at UMMC, Dr. Smith gained extensive experience in all areas of neurosurgery with a specific interest in spinal surgery.
