Biography
Hailing from a small town in Punjab, India, Dr. Sharma developed a strong commitment to serving communities despite limited resources. She earned her medical degree from Government Medical College, Patiala in 2018, followed by postgraduate training in Anesthesia and Critical Care at PGIMER, Chandigarh, India, completing her training in 2022. She subsequently served as junior faculty at GMCH, Chandigarh, and later as an attending anesthesiologist in her hometown.
To advance her expertise in Neuroanesthesiology, Dr. Sharma pursued fellowship training at the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio. She is currently an assistant professor at the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC), Jackson, MS, with a focus on optimizing perioperative care and improving postoperative outcomes for patients undergoing complex surgeries. Her work reflects a commitment not only to patient care but also to the well-being of healthcare teams, recognizing that supported and resilient providers deliver the highest quality care.
