Biography

Dr. Rawson holds a PhD in developmental psychology. She worked in Newborn Follow up Clinic over 32 years and completed research for her Doctorate through Newborn Follow up Clinic (NBFU). While working with the NBFU clinic Dr. Rawson assessed children born prematurely and those born with conditions putting them at risk for developmental delay. She was the sole psychologist in that clinic from 1985-2016. Dr. Rawson joined the faculty in the Child Development Clinic (now CAY) over 36 years ago. She assesses children for developmental/intellectual deficits, learning disabilities - including dyslexia, attention deficits and behavior disorders. Dr. Rawson completed a Master's program in dyslexia therapy in August of 2016 and offers Orton Gillingham based therapy for children with dyslexia.
