Biography

Hollis (Tripp) Purviance received his Associate Degree in Nursing in 1999 from Hinds Community College, his Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing, Summa Cum Laude, in 2004 and his Master of Science in Nursing in 2006 from the University of Mississippi School of Nursing. Tripp served as the nurse manager of the inpatient orthopedic unit from June 2003 to June 2006. Prior to this time, he was a staff nurse specializing in post-operative orthopedic care. He is a member of Sigma Theta Tau National Honor Society for Nursing, the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, the National Association of Orthopaedic Nurses, and the Mississippi Nurses Association. Tripp currently holds certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a medical surgical nurse and also holds certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) as a Family Nurse Practitioner. He currently holds the position of Lead Nurse Practitioner of Orthopedic Surgery. Tripp works with patients at the University Pavilion.
