Biography

Jessica Martinez is a licensed occupational therapist with a specialized focus in neurological rehabilitation. Prior to transitioning to academia, she served as a staff OT for the Methodist Rehabilitation Center in Jackson, Mississippi, from 2004 to 2025. Additionally, she served as a staff OT for Rush Foundation Hospital from 2002 to 2004.
Jessica holds a Master's Degree in Health Administration from Belhaven University. She received a BA degree in Biology from the University of MS in 2000 and a BS in Occupational therapy from the University of MS Medical Center in 2002. Her clinical expertise focuses on the treatment of individuals with various neurological diagnoses, including stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and Parkinson's disease.
Jessica has completed various training and certifications, including the Certified Functional Nutrition Informed Practitioner (CFNIP) and the Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner (CKTP). Her research interests include neurological rehabilitation and overall health and wellness.
She is an active member of MSOTA and AOTA. Additionally, she enjoys serving on the advisory board at the Germantown HS Healthcare Academy, watching Ole Miss football, and cheering on her daughters in the college band and HS cheer.
