Biography
Jennifer Hargett serves as an Associate Professor in the School of Nursing at the University of Mississippi Medical Center where she teaches in the traditional undergraduate program. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Mississippi University for Women in 2007, Master of Science in Nursing degree in nursing education from the UMMC School of Nursing in 2012, and Doctorate of Nursing Practice in 2021.
Prior to becoming a faculty member in 2014, Dr. Hargett worked in UMMC's adult hospital as a staff nurse and subsequently as a nurse educator in orthopedics. She is an American Heart Association instructor and a member of the Mississippi Nurses' Association and Sigma Theta Tau International. She holds national nursing certification as an Orthopaedic Nurse Certified (ONC®).
