Biography
Dr. Grayson was born in Yonkers, NY, to immigrant parents from Poland. She graduated from Maria Regina High School in Hartsdale, NY, and attended an Accelerated Biomedical Program through Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in Troy, NY. She received a B.S. in Biology in 1997 from RPI. She then traveled overseas to volunteer with Mercy Ships International for several years, where she taught high school for a year. She returned to the States, and from 2004-2009 performed graduate research studies in Portland, OR at Oregon Health Science University. She obtained both a PhD in Neuroscience and Masters in Clinical Research. She performed postdoctoral work at the University of Cincinnati from 2009-2014. From 2014-2021, she served as faculty in the Department of Neurobiology and Anatomical Sciences at UMMC until the department dissolved. Briefly she served as faculty in Neurology. Since early 2024, she found her academic home in the School of Population Health.
