Biography
Kimberly Douglas serves as Associate Professor and Nurse Educator Track Director in the School of Nursing at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from the University of Mississippi School of Nursing in 1998, her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree in nursing education from the School of Nursing in 2013, and completed her PhD in Nursing Science in 2020 from the School of Graduate Studies in Health Sciences.
Prior to becoming a faculty member in 2014, Douglas worked at the UMMC Hospital and Health Systems where she began her nursing career in the Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children as a staff nurse in 1999. She held various positions, including staff nurse, nurse manager and nurse educator until moving to the University of Mississippi School of Nursing in 2014. She is a member of the Theta Beta Tau International, the American Nurses Association and the Mississippi Nurses Association.
