Biography
I graduated from Mississippi College in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Communications emphasis and a minor in Psychology. After working in our family business for ten years, I returned to Mississippi College to complete pre-medical coursework. I graduated from The University of Mississippi Medical School in 1998 and began a five-year residency in Pathology. In 2003 I joined the faculty at the University of Mississippi as an Assistant Professor of Pathology. I served as Medical Director of Chemistry, Toxicology, and Special Chemistry until 2012, at which time I changed to full-time Surgical Pathology. I was promoted to Associate Professor in 2009 and Professor in 2014. I have served as Course Director for the sophomore pathology course since 2005.
