Biography
Dr. Steven Cialone is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC). He has been a full-time faculty member since August 2024. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2017, followed by a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from UMMC in 2020. He became a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy in 2025. His clinical practice has been mainly focused in outpatient orthopedics as well as inpatient rehabilitation focusing on neurological disorders. Dr. Cialone is a current member of the Mississippi Physical Therapy Association, American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), and the Orthopedic Section of the APTA. Dr. Cialone's scholarly agenda includes areas in orthopedics and pain management. He has a longstanding history of service within the Central Mississippi Down Syndrome Society advocating for and benefitting individuals and families of those with Down syndrome.
