Biography

Dr. Ashley Canizaro, a native of Mississippi, is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist. After receiving her undergraduate degree in biological engineering from Mississippi State University, she earned her medical degree from UMMC. Dr. Canizaro received her postgraduate training in obstetrics and gynecology at UMMC from 2007-11, serving as administrative chief resident during 2010-11. Immediately following, she joined in private practice at Southern Women's Health in Flowood, MS. In 2021, after 9 years in private practice, Dr. Canizaro returned to UMMC to better serve her fellow Mississippians.
