Katherine P. Theall, PhD, MPH, director of the Center of Excellence in Maternal and Child Health, co-director of the Mary Amelia Center for Women's Health Equity Research and senior director of the Violence Prevention Institute, will present the Mississippi Center for Violence Research virtual seminar, "Awareness Today for a Safer Tomorrow," at noon Wednesday, Oct. 28, online via Webex.
This series provides an opportunity to learn about multifaceted approaches to violence prevention. As a multidisciplinary community, we will explore how violence is preventable, education is powerful and change is possible, and how hospitals and communities can become stronger and safer when we work together. Join us for one hour to discuss the many roots of violence, explore solutions and learn how you can play an important role in prevention.
