Dr. Lei Zhang, the MS-VIP Project team and the Mississippi Center for Violence Research will host the fourth annual violence summit, Mississippi Linking Solutions to Violence: United Against Gun Violence, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, at the Jackson Convention Complex in Jackson.

This one-day event will bring together health care professionals, community stakeholders and residents from the Jackson metropolitan area to build partnerships, foster dialogue, raise awareness and gather feedback to inform strategies for reducing firearm, domestic and related violence.

Register online. Vendors should indicate in the occupation field whether they are exhibitors, and please bring a door prize for raffling instead of paying exhibit fees.
