Dr. Erin Vaughn Jones, ombudsperson, will present the UMMC 101 session, "An Introduction to Ombuds Services," on Monday, Oct. 21, at noon in Lower Amphitheatre R153.
This presentation provides an overview of ombuds services within an academic health system, outlining their role in conflict resolution, problem-solving, and promoting a healthy workplace environment. Participants will gain insight into how ombuds services offer confidential, impartial, and informal support to faculty, staff, and students, helping to address workplace concerns, interpersonal conflicts, and organizational challenges.
Box lunches will be available to the first 75 attendees.
