FY24 Annual Report

Good morning!

We are into the third month of the 2025 fiscal and academic year and early reports indicate we are starting off in a positive direction. We began FY25 in a good place, since we were coming off an overall stellar year. In FY24, we experienced success in each of our three mission areas and in other administrative initiatives that serve the entire organization.

The UMMC annual report for the fiscal year that went from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024 was recently published, and it is a great tool for us to look back on the many ways that we provided exceptional service to the people and communities we serve. A PDF of the FY24 UMMC Annual Report can be found online here. While it’s only a snapshot of the many ways our programs – and people – excelled last year, it’s nice to have it all packaged within the report’s pages so that we can see what is possible when we all work together.

You should be proud of yourselves and each other for all your hard work last fiscal year. I know I’m certainly appreciative. I’m also amazed at how much of an impact we can make when we strive for success. Effort, determination, thoughtfulness and collaboration are seeds that can yield a fruitful outcome. The pages of our annual report show we are headed in the right direction, toward A Healthier Mississippi.

P.S. A little programming note. I’m going to take my own advice that I’ve given to you several times in this column and will be out for some R&R next week. As such, there will be no VC Notes next Friday, Sept. 20. We will resume as normal the next week with a Q&A edition.
