As we near the end of 2024, I find myself reflecting on the foundation of our work at UMMC: patient care, health profession education, and biomedical research. These pillars do more than define us—they unite us in purpose and propel us toward A Healthier Mississippi.

This year, we’ve been reminded that delivering compassionate, high-quality care is not just a goal but a responsibility we embrace every day. Across our hospitals and clinics, our teams have faced challenges with unwavering determination. I think about the extraordinary stories we’ve seen—like the expansion of our telehealth services, which brought life-saving care to rural communities, and the innovative treatment protocols pioneered in our specialized centers.

Each patient we serve represents a life touched, a family strengthened, and a community supported. To our clinicians and support staff, thank you for embodying our mission with every decision, every interaction, and every moment of care.

Education That Inspires

UMMC is not only a place for healing but also a hub for learning.
