The campaign to build a new facility for the UMMC Cancer Center and Research Institute has netted a 10-year commitment from a leading education philanthropy organization in Mississippi.

Sgt. Shanice Mays’ current beat involves helping take care of the staff in the Emergency Department when needed. It’s the kind of challenge she’s been accustomed to her entire career.
