Amid rising mental health concerns among Mississippi's college students, a new initiative aims to bridge the gap in counseling services. The Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at UMMC, funded by a grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, launched The UNITE Clinic to provide essential mental health support to students across the state's eight universities.
