UMMC is offering unique, specialized care and a clinical trials partnership with the University of Alabama-Birmingham to give HD patients new hope.

College students dreaming of medical careers but discouraged by a lack of resources may be candidates for PROMISE, a program to boost those under-represented in medicine. Mid-March is the deadline for applying to this early assurance initiative UMMC officials believe could ultimately encourage some participants to pursue careers in other health care fields as well.
