Students at the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry will now be able to treat patients in a high-tech setting with the latest dental equipment on the market. The technology center is made possible by the Center for Research and Education in Technology, Inc., whose members donated the equipment, and Regions, which supported the renovations.

For the better part of five decades, Ivory Bogan could be found in the Division of Physical Facilities sharing his knowledge and leading by positive example. During his last remaining days on the job, the executive director of facilities management recounted the vast growth of the institution, the motivation behind his legendary "can-do" attitude and the six leaders for whom he has served.

An asylum once located on the grounds of the University of Mississippi Medical Center has long since vanished, but the stories of the patients committed there will not. “Descendant Outreach and Archival Preservation Days,” a two-day event at UMMC July 19-20, honors those lives by ensuring that their stories endure.

Several interesting events are scheduled for the upcoming weeks at the Medical Center.
