Their results, published this month in the leading journal Science, show that the approach protects and rescues damaged kidney cells. If the drug proceeds to clinical use, it could be a treatment option for millions of people. |
| Robert Tickner of Madison, a Children’s of Mississippi neurology patient, combined a desire to help others with his woodworking skills to create sets of model MRI machines for use in therapeutic play, reducing the need for sedation in young patients getting diagnostic readings. He hopes the project will help him become an Eagle Scout in 2018. |
UMMC introduces a new website, hosted by Off Campus Partners, to help students, faculty and staff find housing off campus.
