The entire five years of residency is in the Department of Otolaryngology and Communicative Sciences. The first year will consist of six months of Otolaryngology and one month each on Anesthesiology, Oral Maxillofacial Surgery, General Surgery, Pediatric Surgery, SICU and Trauma.
We will abide by the joint recommendation of the Otolaryngology Program Directors Organization and the Association of Academic Departments of Otolaryngology to send all of our initial interview invitations out during the time period: Oct. 24-Nov. 11. We will subsequently send out further interview invitations if any cancellations occur.Do not send loose information to us directly unless it is requested. Send all information and updates you wish us to consider directly to ERAS. We will request any required additional information of those students we invite for interviews. We allow up to two months of time to be spent either with outside otolaryngologists or in specialties such as pathology, radiology, genetics and radiation oncology to provide for a more well-rounded educational experience.
