Career Interest
I am interested in working in an Outpatient Family Medicine clinic setting, where I will be able to establish strong physician-patient relationships and provide compassionate, personalized, holistic, patient-centered care. In addition, I am passionate about Preventive Medicine and value patient education, including counseling patients about living a healthy lifestyle, getting them excited about taking charge of their health, and guiding them in the right direction by answering their questions. Moreover, having volunteered with underserved groups, I realized the need for strong public health and preventive care programs in underserved areas and developed a powerful interest in promoting preventive health measures to ensure community well-being. Consequently, I would like to practice in small or inner-city communities where there is often insufficient medical care because I want to dedicate my time to serving medically underserved populations.

Hobbies
I enjoy dancing, photography, Yoga, exercising, writing, and graphic design. I began learning classical Indian dance (Bharatanatyam) when I was five years old and fell in love with dancing and performing on stage. I also learned photography in high school and enjoy photographing landscapes and architecture.

What you like to do in free time?
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, hiking, meditating, reading, and traveling.

What do you like about the program?
I value that at UMMC I will be able to obtain substantial outpatient and inpatient training experiences and interact with a diverse patient population, including gaining exposure to handling complex cases with extensive pathology. I also appreciate that this program feels like a tight-knit community with excellent faculty mentorship that will allow me to thrive in a very warm and supportive learning environment, which I believe is invaluable. I am looking forward to embarking on this exciting journey as a Family Medicine resident and consider myself very fortunate to be a new member of the UMMC family!
