Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science

The Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) program offers a bachelor of science in medical laboratory science degree through two routes: 1) a traditional on-campus program; and 2) an online progression program designed for certified medical/clinical laboratory technicians (CLT/MLT).

Both programs are five semesters in length and are designed to provide students with broad-based knowledge in clinical and basic sciences. The program offers a unique blend of coursework combined with clinical instruction in hospital laboratories.

Accreditation and certification

The MLS program is accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences.

Graduates of the MLS program are eligible to take national examinations for certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist, such as those offered by the Board of Certification of the American Society for Clinical Pathology.
